All About The Details
As the holiday season winds down, the decorations are put away for another year and the festive holiday sparkle is replaced by the cozy winter apparel. Often, I find the same goes for one’s kitchen and table. The patterned china and fabulous stemware are replaced by daily standby – plain white dinnerware.
Colin Cowie once told me that fine china and crystal should not be saved only for special occasions. He had some gorgeous pieces that he saved for special occasions and all was lost in an earthquake. This experience left him with the lesson “if you love it, use it!” So, if you are putting together something as simple as a Panna Cotta (click here for recipe), why not serve it in a gorgeous martini glass instead of a ramekin? Style applies to all aspects of your life including your kitchen!
