Fiona’s Children’s Special Occasion is now open in The Piazza at Schmidt’s in Northern Liberties! The new boutique offers elegant dresses and exquisite attire for every special occasion – from Christenings, Holy Communion and Bat/Bar Mitzvahs to holidays, weddings and more.

Fiona’s Children’s Special Occasion offers dresses in styles ranging from classic to whimsical and even couture for girls size Newborn to 16x. The contemporary salon features tulle, silk, and lace-trimmed confections in diamond white, soft ivory, and pastels. Fiona’s also offers trendier shapes in jewel tones and trimmed with sequins and beading.

“In searching for special occasion dresses for my granddaughters, I found a very limited selection of fine quality dresses. I wanted to create a unique shopping experience for children and their families, an occasion almost as magical as the event they are shopping for.” Says, Karen Clark, owner.

With an emphasis on quality, Clarke selects fashions crafted from the finest fabrics available and assembled with intricate attention to every last detail. Featured brands include Joan Calabrese Couture, Joan Calabrese for Mon Cheri, Malley and Co., Sarah Louise, Sweet Patti’s and Us Angels. For a truly one-of-a-kind look, Fiona’s Children’s Special Occasion offers custom designs by Clarke, a formally trained garment designer and seamstress.  Fiona’s also offers boys’ formal apparel in its sister store Fiona’s Childrenswear, located just a few doors down in The Piazza.

With the opening of Fiona’s Children’s Special Occasion, Philadelphia’s youngest shoppers now have a place to make all their fashion dreams come true! Fiona’s Children’s Special Occasion is open Wednesday through Sunday, 1pm to 6pm. Appointments are recommended and are available outside of normal shop hours.
