Gift Idea #1 for Mom

It’s that time of year when we celebrate the special women in our lives. You have a week to make sure you send a snail mail card, order her flowers and do some shopping!

Gift Idea #1 for Mom: A cooking class from Sur La Table. This gift is perfect for that special lady who loves to cook and is willing to be adventurous in the kitchen. I know my Mom, would love to try her hand at making Italian Pasta or get a kick out of a Paella Workshop.

I’ve personally done a few of these cooking classes with my partner and they are terrific! Give it a try, your Mom won’t be disappointed.

Golden Globes Fashion

This year’s fashion on the Golden Globes 2015 Red Carpet wasn’t groundbreaking, but there were some definite hits. If you missed me on Fox Good Day this morning, here’s a recap of my “Best Dressed” and “Honorable Mention.”

Best Dressed

Julianne Moore: Stunning classic red carpet style in Givenchy Couture. She even helped design this stunner. Love the glitz, feathers and ombre. My favorite on the red carpet!
Allison Williams: Perfect in red Armani Privé. She’s today’s “it girl” and made the classic color so relevant.
Naomi Watts: Beautiful in Gucci. Lilliana Vazquez predicted that Limoncello would be a trend on the red carpet and this dress didn’t disappoint! Plus Naomi recycled her Bulgari serpentine necklace that she’s worn in the past — breathtaking.
Lorde: Updated pant suit by Narcisco Rodriguez. She looked elegant and on point with with this basic yet revamped look. And her necklace 100-carat and platinum Cleopatra Necklace by Neil Lane —AMAZING.
Kate Hudson: Hollywood glam by Versace. Kate looked fabulous in this hot red — I mean hot white number! Showed off her perfect body and natural beauty.
Lilliana Vazquez: Gorgeous in Rhodes by Janine Rhodes. Lilliana rocked the 1st Look before the Golden Globes show. She was on trend with her cut-out white floor length gown and simply stated earrings by Mason Stanley.

Honorable Mention

Jennifer Lopez: Show stopper in Zuhair Murad! As much as I love J.Lo, she needs to stop wearing the same look to every red carpet!
Helen Mirren: Worked her Dolce & Gabbana. Helen looks better than ever!
Heidi Klum: Lady in red — in Versace. Always a glamazon the red carpet.
Salma Hayek: Worked the “white” trend in Alexander McQueen. Always beautiful!
Jenna Dewan-Tatum: Lovely in Carolina Herrera. She’s the perfect plus one.
Kelly Osbourne: Timeless in Georges Chakra! Kelly keeps transforming herself into the woman she wants to be. Go Kelly!

Worst Dressed

I won’t waste my time or yours. We all know who they are.

Stay tuned for my coverage of the 87th Academy Awards in February!

Dress Normal

It’s all about black-and-white with GAP this season. I’m in love with the new ad campaign and videos just released!

This season’s campaign was created by New York firm, Wieden + Kennedy as part of the new “Dress Normal” roll out.  “Dress like no one’s watching,” “Simple clothes for you to complicate” and “The uniform of rebellion and conformity” are just a few of the videos that were released this past Thursday. See below! YouTube Preview Image

The campaign is all black-and-white style (except for the Gap logo at the end of the spots, presented in various hues).
